Tivon – טבעון – סבתא חנה

ואז גם התחילה בריאותו של צבי להדרדר, ונסיעות וטיולים הפכו ליותר ויותר מסובכים, והתחלתי להרגיש יותר ויותר מבודדת. החלטתי לעבור לגליל, ולגור בקירבת רונית. ואכן ב1998 מצאתי בית מדהים על חלקת קרקע יפיפיה במרכז טבעון. תוך זמן קצר מכרתי את הבית ברמת אפעל ועברתי לטבעון. אחי צבי, שנישאר רווק כל ימיו עבר לגור עימנו, וכעת היו לי את צבי א’ וצבי ב’ עימי בביתי. והיה גם כיף לגור בקרבתה של רונית ולהתראות עימה לעיתים קרובות.

In this time Tzvi’s health took a turn for the worse, and travels overseas became more complicated, and I began to feel more isolated. I decided to move to the Galilee, to live closer to Ronit, and so in 1998 I found an amazing home on a beautiful plot of land in the centre of Tivon. Within a short time I sold the house in Ramat-Ef`al and moved to Tivon. My brother Tzvi, who had remained a bachelor all his life, moved to live with us, so that we had Tzvi A and Tzvi B with me at home. It was also fun to now live closer to Rona, and to see her on a regular basis.

In the meanwhile Gilad was drafted into the IDF and brought us much happiness and pride when he finished his piloting course.

ולא עבר זמן רב עד שגם רעות התגיסה וגם כן מילאה את ליבנו בגאווה, כשסימה את קורס הקצינות בהצלחה, והיתה לבת המישפחה הראשונה שעשתה את זה. וכעת גם יובל כבר עומדת לסים את השרות הקרבי.

Not long after, Reut also joined the IDF and brought us much pride, when she finished her officer’s course with distinction, being the first daughter in the family to have achieved this. At present Yuval is also set to finish her combat service.

והחיים המשיכו לזרום עם הטוב והרע שבהם. ואז צבי אחי נפטר, ואחריו גם צבי בעלי, ואני “הצלחתי” לעבור ארוע מוחי שכצת פגע לי ביכולת התנועה, ומאז עברתי לגור במושב בקירבתה של רונית, בהתחלה באלון הגליל וכעת בבית לחם הגלילית, אולם שום דבר לא עצר או יעצור אותי מלהמשיך ולהנות מחיי.

Life continued with both the good and bad, my brother Tzvi first passed away, and then later my husband Tzvi, and I managed to overcome a stroke. From that point on, I went to live on the same moshav as Ronit, first in Alon HaGalil and now in the Bet-Lehem-HaGlilit, bu nothing has stopped me from continuing to enjoy my life.

ב 2005 נסעתי לאוסטראליה, עם רונית ויובל, לחגוג את נישואיהם של אריאל ומרים שהיתה מסיבה מאד עליזה עם הרבה ריקודים ברוח הקהילה הדתית.

In 2005, I travelled to Australia with Ronit and Yuval to celebrate Ariel and Miriam’s wedding. It was a very happy occasion with many dances, all in good spirit.

ולא עבר זמן רב והם החלו להביא לנו מתנות יקרות בדמות נינים ונינות ניפלאים.

A short while later, they brought me precious presents, my great-grandchildren.

וגם גילעד החמוד התחתן השנה עם דליה בכרמל, ויום לפני יום הולדתי ה90 נולדה להם בת.

And also Gilad got married this year to Dalya in the Carmel, and a day just before my birthday they had a baby daughter

ואני בטוחה שזו רק ההתחלה ונינים נוספים עוד יגיעו בהמשך מכל נכדי.

I am sure that this is just the beginning and that all my grandchildren will bring me joy in the form of great-grandchildren.

בינתיים אני נהנת ללכת יום יום למועדון הסביום, לישמע הרצאות ולעשות התעמלות. להיות מנויה וללכת ליראות הצגות הופעות ותערוכות באופן קבוע, לחגג את החגים ולטיל עם הילדים והנכדים ברחבי הארץ

In the meanwhile, I enjoy attending my daily outings to the Savyom, to hear interesting lectures, exercise and socialise; I have a membership to see shows and exhibitions on a regular basis; as well as celebrating the festivals and travelling along with the kids and grandkids to different parts of the country.
